Applications

Non-GMO dextrose is a water-soluble sweetener that, besides contributing to flavor and texture, can increase the browning effects of the Maillard Reaction in baked goods. It also has some preservative qualities to enhance shelf life. Non-GMO dextrose can be used to slightly lower the freezing point of ice cream.

Manufacturing Process

  • Raw non-GMO corn kernels are mashed, washed/separated and dried to produce corn starch. The corn starch then undergoes saccharification and spray drying, producing non-GMO dextrose.
